Anthony Quinn - My Art Work - Done In 2013 @ The Outer Banks On Vacation With My Family In August : Done In A Series Quickly At One Time : Enjoy!

I experiment with my art when I am on vacation at the beach in North Carolina with my family and I can focus all my attention, or a lot of it doing my artwork. I do not simply want to repeat what I do, I want it to be interesting and I want to learn as I draw and sketch.

Here I have sketched with my oil pastels. Often I combine them with watercolors. It simply depends. I pick up a few sticks of oil pastel and mix them up as not to always draw with the same set. I do not want to have just some possibilities, I want as many as I may have at any one time.

Sometimes I limit the possibilities just to see what fewer oli pastels will yield instead of a handful of them clutched precariously between my five fingers. It is a group effort each and every time : me, the oil pastels in my right hand, the pad of oil or sketch or watercolor paper held my my left hand, and the elements all around me, as I often work outside and the wind, the sun, a quick breeze, rain, clouds, noise, humidity, bugs, flies, mosquitoes, whatever : it is all part of my work.

Even any fingerprint smudges that I make as I valiantly hold, or try and hold the paper secure with my left hand, I do not care, that is part of the moment and the works of art that I create quickly, fluidly, desperately, jaggedly, chopily, suddenly, mysteriously, wonderfully : whatever : ALL part of the moment and these works of art that are actually two done on two separate pieces of paper as you can see here. I sell the two as a combined work, and the two together ar $150 for the set.
